💔 My Story – Why I Built Convicted by Lies

My name is Kelly. I’m not a lawyer. I’m not a journalist. I’m just a sister who refused to sit back while the justice system stole my brother’s life.

My brother, Lee Calvert, was wrongfully convicted over 12 years ago. From the very beginning, I knew something was wrong. The evidence didn’t make sense. The witnesses didn’t add up. And yet, no one listened. No one cared.

While others went on with their lives, mine became a courtroom, a case file, a war I never chose. I watched my family get torn apart. I lost friends, sleep, money, and peace — but I never lost my fight.

I wrote letters, chased legal teams, begged solicitors to listen, and stood outside courtrooms praying someone would see the truth. I watched people lie under oath. I saw the system protect itself at all costs. And through it all, I kept going.

They called me obsessed.
They said I should “let it go.”
But how do you let go of someone who’s still breathing behind bars for something they didn’t do?

That’s why I created Convicted by Lies.

Not just for Lee — but for every mother, sister, partner, or child out there fighting this battle on their own. Because I’ve been where you are. And I know how heavy it gets when you carry the truth alone.
